Dr. Kevin McGovern, PT, CSCS

Kevin McGovern, PT, CSCS, is a physical therapist and the founder of Perfect Motion Sports Therapy in Acton, Massachusetts. Dr. McGovern provides his expertise to help adolescents and adults stay active and move with less pain in their daily life.

At 16 years old, Dr. McGovern had a catastrophic knee injury that prevented him from doing the things he loved. He decided to pursue physical therapy to help patients recover in the best way possible.

Dr. McGovern received his bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, before completing his doctorate in physical therapy at Simmons University. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) for the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).

For over 27 years, Dr. McGovern has helped patients become healthier through innovative physical therapy and expert care. He has been a private practice owner since 1999. His first company was an insurance-based practice with 45 employees.

At Perfect Motion Sports Therapy, Dr. McGovern takes a different approach to therapeutic services. He offers concierge medicine, or fee-for-service, to be able to care for as many patients as possible without insurance restrictions. Since then, Dr. McGovern has provided physical therapy for thousands of patients, helping them recover from injury and exceed their fitness goals.

Dr. McGovern has developed innovative treatments at his practice, such as a corrective exercise system named G.A.M.E. (Graded Active Movement Exam). This special system tests and corrects the body’s movement for a more optimal way of functioning.

When he’s not helping patients, Dr. McGovern is a sports fanatic. He enjoys teaching pitching and performing freelance work for the WWE. Dr. McGovern also likes to golf, camp, and dabble in woodworking projects.
